  1.                          Special screen controls

  4.    Here is a list of the special screen controls (all references to clicking
  5. refer to the left mouse button):-
  6.  
  7. a) Most important of all the menu bar.  Hold the right mouse button down and
  8. a menu will appear like those in the workbench.  The keys shown in square
  9. brackets are menu shortcuts, eg. press the / key to compile the manuscript.

  11. b) Clicking the mouse button at the top allows you to change the title of
  12. the manuscript.
  13.  
  14. c) Clicking just above the staves changes the position of the cursor.
  15.  
  16. d) Clicking at the very left and right of the staves scrolls them along in
  17. that direction.  If the right SHIFT key is held down, then the screen
  18. scrolls only half a page; if the left SHIFT key is held down, then the
  19. screen scrolls right to the end or beginning of the manuscript.

  21. e) Clicking on the position box (the one with the number in it) allows you
  22. to alter the start position of the current page.
  23.  
  24. f) Clicking on the + and - of the octave box changes the octave of the next
  25. note to be placed on stave.
